This six-day journey is built for first-time travellers who want Vietnam's two great cities in a single trip. You'll begin in the north with Hanoi's Old Quarter and a cruise through the limestone karsts of Halong Bay, then fly south to Ho Chi Minh City for its French-colonial landmarks and war history. It's the only one of our six-day routes to include the Cu Chi Tunnels and a full day in the Mekong Delta — a north-and-south introduction that deliberately trades central Vietnam for more depth at each end.
