Delhi Arrival

On arrival our representative shall meet you at the airport to greet you and transfer you to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Full day city tour covering Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate, Parliament House, Jama Masjid, Red Fort (drive past), Gandhi Memorial, Qutub Minar Complex, and Humayun's Tomb. Overnight stay at hotel.

Delhi – Bagdogra (by air) – Darjeeling (by surface)

After breakfast transfer to domestic airport for flight to Bagdogra. On arrival, representative transfers you to Darjeeling (86 km / 5 hrs by car). Darjeeling is nestled in a setting of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest, Tibetan monasteries, Himalayan tribal life, and pine trees — the queen of hill stations. Check in to hotel.

Darjeeling

Very early wake up at 3:30 AM for drive to Tiger Hill (1 hr 20 min). Watch the sunrise over Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest. Return to Darjeeling for breakfast. Visit the Tibetan Refugee Centre, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park — famous for housing the Red Panda and breeding the Snow Leopard. Afternoon visit to Happy Valley Tea Estate and Darjeeling Bazaar. Overnight in Darjeeling.

Darjeeling – Gangtok (by surface)

After breakfast, drive to Gangtok. En route visit the only Bonpa Monastery in the area — a pre-Buddhist Tibetan religion still practised in Tibet. Continue to Gangtok, a picturesque mountain town with monasteries, parks, pagoda-style houses, and colourful bazaars. Check in to hotel. Overnight in Gangtok.

Gangtok

Morning drive to Rumtek Monastery (25 km / 1 hr each way) — visit and see the 16th Karmapa's relics. Return via the Institute of Tibetology and Museum, the only such institute in the world, set up to promote research on Mahayana Buddhism and Tibetan traditions. Afternoon visit to Enchey Monastery. Overnight in Gangtok.

Gangtok – Kalimpong (by surface)

After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong (4 hrs from Darjeeling). En route, sightseeing of Phodong Monastery. Check in on arrival. Overnight stay.

Kalimpong

After breakfast, visit the Orchid and Cactus Sanctuaries of Kalimpong and the Red Hat Sect monasteries founded by Drudgen Rimpoche, whose mummified body is still preserved there. Overnight stay.

Kalimpong – Bagdogra (by surface) – Delhi (by air)

After breakfast, transfer to Bagdogra Airport. Check in for flight back to Delhi. On arrival, transferred to hotel. Overnight stay.
