Day 1

Arrive Delhi

On arrival our representative shall meet you at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2

Delhi

Full day enjoy city tour covering Laxmi Narayan Temple – The Place of Gods, India Gate – The memorial of martyrs, Parliament House – The Government Headquarters, Jama Masjid – The largest mosque in Asia, drive pass Red Fort – The red stone magic, Gandhi memorial – The memoir of father of the nation beside these some other places to visit are – Qutub Minar Complex and Humayun’s Tomb. Overnight hotel. (B) 

Day 3

Delhi – Agra (Approx. 05 hrs drive)

After morning breakfast at the hotel, drive to Agra. On arrival check in to hotel and after quick wash and change, proceed for sightseeing tour of Agra. Red Fort – a visit to the fort in ‘Agra’ is  must since so many of the events which lead to the construction of the Taj took place here, Itmad-ud-daula Tomb – The tomb is of particular interest since many of its design elephants overshadow the Taj. Evening is free on your own to explore the local markets. (B) 

Day 4

Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (Approx. 06 hrs drive)

Sunrise visit Taj Mahal – a poem written in white marble, the most extravagant monument ever built for love. After breakfast check out and drive to Jaipur with en route visit old deserted town of Mughal Dynasty – Fatehpur Sikri.  On arrival, check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel. (B) 

Day 5

Jaipur

In the morning take an excursion to Amber fort with joy ride on an Elephant. In the afternoon take a city tour covering City Palace – occupies a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens & buildings and a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture, Royal Observatory – An observatory with some rare qualities to its credit and the Bazaar etc. Overnight hotel. (B) 

Day 6

Jaipur – Jodhpur (Approx. 06 hrs drive)

Today after breakfast check out and leave for the Rajasthan countryside to the ancient stronghold of Jodhpur, established by the Rathore Dynasty in l459. Built on a high rocky cliff, it is a city of astonishing gardens and monumental palaces. Surrounded by a six-mile long wall punctuated by eight gates, the city dates to when its strategic location on the trade route between Europe and the Far East gave it great importance.

On arrival check in to the hotel followed by sightseeing tour of Jodhpur and visit Mehrangarh Fort; one of the largest forts in India, the beauty and grandeur of numerous palaces inside narrates a saga of hard sandstones yielding to the chisels of skilled Jodhpuri sculptures and to enter seven gates have to be crossed. It was built by Rao Jodha, the founder of Jodhpur city in 1459. The palaces in this fort have their own peculiar style, with narrow staircases, serving as the only means of access to the royal residence within. A collection of musical instruments, palanquins, furniture and cannons on the forts ramparts are well preserved. Also visit Old city; surrounded by a 10km long wall, has 8 gates serving as entrances, the winding streets offer colourful street markets with blue houses alternated with white houses and Clock tower; a prominent landmark. The new city is settled around this walled area.

Day 7

Jodhpur – Ranakpur – Udaipur (Approx. 06 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel restaurant check out and drive towards Udaipur, en-route pass lush green valleys, streams and heart capturing views before visiting Ranakpur. Renowned for its Jain temples with intricately carved marble Pillars and Domes, Ranakpur is amongst the five holiest places of the Jain community and exceptional in beauty. Tucked away in a remote valley in the Aravalli ranges, it boasts of one of the largest and most important Jain Temples in the country. It has a four-temple complex which is famous for its peaceful and harmonious surroundings. The temples are believed to have been built in 1439 A.D. The temple rests on 1444 elegantly carved pillars, with no two being identical and the realistic sculptures of celestial nymphs playing the flute in various dance postures at a height of 45 feet are a fascinating sight to see. The two huge bells weighing 108 kgs each, whose sound echoes in the entire complex, add to the temple’s allure.

After the visit continue your travel to Udaipur. On arrival at Udaipur check in, rest of the evening to enjoy at leisure. Stay for two nights in Udaipur. (B) 

Day 8

Udaipur – Mumbai (By Flight)

Founded by Maharaja Udai Singh in 1568, Udaipur is situated on the banks of Lake Pichola with lush green hills of the Aravalli surroundings, making it the most romantic city of Rajasthan. A vision in white drenched in beauty, the city is a fascinating blend of sights and sounds. The rich cultural, social and natural heritage, aesthetic beauty and ecological richness, preserved through the lakes, serene and opulent hilly ranges, lush green vegetation, pleasant gardens and harmonious built forms present a unique condition of scenic beauty.

Proceed for guided sightseeing tour and visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Museum, Jag Mandir and Saheliyon-Ki-Bari. Enjoy rest of the day on the banks of the Lake Pichola, which shines like a jewel in the crown of the city adding more grace and grandeur to it or optionally take sunset cruise or visit the numerous shops that dot the narrow windings streets of Udaipur. Followed transfer to airport catch your flight to Mumbai. On arrival Mumbai transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. (B) 

Day 9

Mumbai

After breakfast takes a sight seeing tour of Bombay, drive to Gateway of India and from here cruise by motorboats to Elephanta Caves. A flight of 100 steps takes you to the top of the hill where it is set. The caves houses large pillars that seem to hold the ceiling which is made of cross beams. The picturesque presentations of the 9 marvelous sculptured panels, set on the walls are awe-inspiring. The most famous of the panels is the Trimurthi, or triple-headed Shiva, where the God is depicted as the destroyer, the preserver and the creator. Later in the afternoon cruise back to Gateway of India, one can have lunch at the Taj Hotel or other several good Restaurants like Leopold & Mondegar serving continental cuisines. Later visit Prince of Wales Museum, Parliament House, Marine Drive, Jain Temple and Hanging Gardens. Return back to the hotel for overnight. (B)

Note: Elephanta Caves & Prince of Wales Museum are closed on every Monday. 

Day 10

Mumbai – Cochin

Today you will transfer to airport catch your flight to Cochin. On arrival our representative shall meet you at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to hotel.  Later enjoy sightseeing tour to the nearby peninsula, discover the remains of Fort Cochin and St Francis church, the oldest church in India. Built in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan monks and worshipped by Roman Catholics, Dutch Protestants and the Anglicans is a wonderful site to visit. On your way back stop at the spice shops selling cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and a host of other spices. Evening witness Kathakali dance show – a famous classical dance drama of Kerala, in an auditorium. Overnight at Cochin. (B) 

Day 11

Cochin – Periyar (05 hrs drive)

After breakfast travel to Periyar, on arrival check in at the resort. Periyar conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills, lush green trees, chirping birds, stunningly beautiful landscape and unending spice-scented plantations. The Periyar forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks. Afternoon take a spice plantation tour to see crops of cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee and tea estates. On your way back you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight at Periyar. (B) 

Day 12

Periyar – Kumarakom (04 hrs drive)

After breakfast explore the Periyar wildlife sanctuary on the boat, the sanctuary centerpiece being the splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam, meanders around the contours of the wooden hills, providing a perennial source of water for the wildlife and is home to Tiger, bison, wild boar, sambar, monkeys, wild elephants, antelopes and a wide variety of birds. There are over 260 species of birds here; including Nilgiri Wood Pigeons, blue-winged Parakeets, White bellied Tree Pies, laughing Thrushes and Fly Catchers. After visit check out and drive towards Kumarakom. Evening is at leisure with overnight stay at hotel. (B) 

Day 13

Kumarakom – Alleppey (45 mins drive)

Morning after breakfast check out and drive to Alleppey to embark Overnight Houseboat where you will en board the traditionally decorated houseboats, you will start an over night backwater cruise which will end on next day Morning at Alleppey. Overnight at Houseboat. (B,L,D) 

Day 14

Alleppey – Kovalam (03 hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast disembark the houseboat and travel to Kovalam, enriched with rich greenery of palm fingered bays in secluded coconut groves and laced with golden sands. The boundless blue waters of the Arabian sea and miles of white sands washed away by the surf at the feet of the stalwart pals and the rocky promontories, makes this beach paradise. Overnight at Kovalam. (B) 

Day 15

Full day relax by the beach. Overnight stay. (B) 

Day 16

Kovalam / Trivandrum (30 Mins drive) and Departure

After a leisurely breakfast check out and transfer to the airport to board the flight for your onward journey. (B)
